Carr Industries now carries the Mason Engineering lower X brace for the E30 chassis.

Looking over the SpecE30 rules, 9.3.8.12 states, “Additional reinforcement of front sub-frame, motormount areas, control arm pickups, idler arm, and stering box mounts is permitted”.

The Mason X brace is designed to help stabilize the frame and reinforce the lower front end removing chassis flex. Ties control arm bushing brackets and frame rails to front subframe for added rigidity.

All of Mason’s products are top shelf with decades of engineering experience.

$299.90 with all installation hardware.

While this is a little beyond the intent of the rule, it does technically meet the letter of the rule. Plus, it’s not going to be a performance advantage and it will make the car more durable, which will reduce the chance of a failure.

Nice piece too.

It is nice, curious whether chassis flex is a problem for some cars between the frame rails and the front chassis area? First I’ve heard there might be an issue.

On a different topic, I like the looks of those Ruff adj camber plates. Will they adjust beyond -3.5*?
