List of allowed camber plates?

#1

Anyone have a list of the legal camber plates?

#2

IE
Ground Control
Vorschlag
Kmac

Anything that uses the stock sping hat…unmodified.

#3

And UUC

I know this question may be utterly sujective, but any one better than the other? Weight/price considerations? This is for a track car, hopefully one day SpecE30 car.

I like the GC since it has markings on the plate. Not sure how useful they may be though. Never owned a car with camber plates.

check out this thread

unless they have changed the design, I believe that the Vorshlag (note, no ‘c’ in their name) ones are not legal for Spec e30 (someone please correct me if I’m wrong)
thanks,

Those markings don’t help much, although assuming there is no bent strut tube or other part it will tell you that you are relatively consistent wheel to wheel.

I used IE plates for a couple of years, they were good except one thing I didn’t like was that the adjusters are bolted into aluminum and on mine I stripped one and had to re-tap it a couple of times.

Point Six racing (Valley Motorworks racing division) now has a spec e30 legal camber plate as well and it is a very nice design. Bolt into steel, uses metric 13mm bolts instead of allen heads.

I thought Carr Industries had one - but their web site is tango uniform right now.

So - for a Spec E30 -

Legal:
IE
Ground Control
UUC
Kmac
VMTechnik (Valley Motorwerks)
Carr Industries

Not Legal:
Vorshlag

Not saying this is the law - this is just what I understand…
