I really, really, really, really hope you guys don’t get worked over by the judges for the condition of your car. It is a formidable team and what appears to be a well-prepped car.
We started with a 200 lap penalty for bringing too nice a car. My advice is that if you run test day, pull a plug wire. Maybe two.
Whatever you do, DON’T show up with a 53’ gooseneck trailer and matching t-shirts from a race prep shop.

Thanks for the warning!! Up close the car does not look as good as in the pics. There is not one body panel on this thing that a magnet would stick to. It really is a $300 NH rust bucket E30. We’ve got holes in the floor the size of grape fruits. I’m not going to guarantee no BS penalty laps but I highly doubt we get 200.
A shiny turd is still a turd, unless you are one of those people who believes you can pick a turd up from the clean end.
I’ve neen MIA on the Spec E30 boards but BeerTech will be there in full force to lay the smack down!!!
P.S. our car is currently NOT running as of today. awesome.

I read one article (I thikn it was in an airline magazine) that one team offered a half drunk bottle of single mat scotch. I read that the scotch disappeared (meaning the bribe was accepted) but the team still recieved some penalty points because the bottle was only half full. The moral of the story? Offer a full bottle.
Where are the pictures of this rust bucket?

F*cking legendary. I think we had the largest margin of “victory” in a Lemons race.
My advice: 11/10ths all the way. Don’t look back, and have plenty of tools ready to pull vaulable parts when they announce that you’re getting crushed.

P.S. Ever hear the one about Beertech’s moms???

I really hope our car doesn’t end up like that. That is an awesome picture though
What is worse is to have a LeMons prepared car and get excluded…you dont get a cool picture.
Al
Al,
Did that happen? That would have to be one heck of a tough Lemons tech inspection to exclude a car - especially considering the prep that goes into it!!
-Vic
Team BFC finished 29th with a running car that took the checkered at the end.
Everyone had a blast and aside from a couple little problems the car ran flawless!!
Greg
Malt Liquor Tech finished 12th and passed a ton of cars. If it weren’t for a couple of overheating issues we would have been contending for P1 on Sunday. At one point, we were 2nd overall…
Oh, and I ate a cricket for an easy $20 on Sat night and almost made Johan yack.

And if it was not for your push at the end we would not have finished. Much thanks from our whole team

I’m guessing like with our wheel departure that someone made contact to that wheel a few turns before it came off. We were lucky enough not flip though.
