Legal rear shock mounts

#1

Rule 9.3.8.13 reads:
Solid rear shock mounts are permitted.

Rule 9.3.8.9 reads:
Suspension bushing material replacement is permitted.

With those rules in mind, are the following non-solid rear shock mounts from Turner Motorsport legal?

Or do I need to use the following solid shock mounts to be completely legal?

Thanks!

8.5. "Replaced" means that the item may be replaced with items meeting or exceeding OEM specifications.

Either is fine.

Thanks for the ruling. Just so I understand then, in the case of the aluminum and ruber mounts (i.e., non solid) rule 9.3.8.9 makes it legal since we are talking about the bushing material in the shock mounts. Rule 9.3.8.13 would kick in when the mount is solid and make it legal, since there is no bushing material "replacing" the stock material.

Bottom line, either mount is fine and I appreciate the feedback. I don’t want to make it sound like I am belaboring the rules, but rules are rules and I appreciate that. This is my first attempt at prearping a Spec E30 car, and I’d rather find out that something is not legal before I put it in the car.

I’m not sure why you would not want to use the solid mount anyway, though?

Ireland engineering makes a nice piece that includes a reinforcing plate for about 100.00 a pair. I have these and the quality is good. Nice machining.
No benefit to me if you buy 'em, just a customer
