Labor Day: "SouthEast Lightning Fun Race" at RRR

#41

I was talking to the Blacks the other day and they are still on the fence, but I think they are leaning more to going than not going. Hopefully we will have 1 more!

Scott
Thanks for the file. It’s good to know a little more about the track before you got to drive it.

There is one, with CCA…I thought you ran that race last Dec with them at RRR?? They also share a weekend with CCA at VIR.

I want to find a group to run a race at VIR south…a 10 or 12 car field there would be a blast. Pantas??

Steve, you made the right call.

Long after your family is still p*ssed that you wasted Labor Day 2009 at the racetrack, you’ll still be walking about with a goofy, priceless grin. Can’t put a value on that, I say!

I saw a rough schedule a few weeks ago, but nothing updated since we got the 4th session. I’ll ask for something current and publish some indicator of timeframes.

Okay, so here’s the plans for the low country boil on Friday evening. I usually set up around 5 or 6 and start cooking and I’ll make plenty to last for a while if I have a head count of how many people to expect. Everyone coming from NASA is more than welcome (and so are their spouses and families) as long as I know how many people to plan on.

Cost: $10 per person
What’s Included: Low County Boil (shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn), Tea or Water, Pecan Pie and all the cuttlery
Where: Paddock area
When: Around 6pm-7pmish (this fluctautes based on arrival times)

Feel free to bring your own beverages if you care for something else. You can also contact me if you have any questions. I can be reached at laura.k.patton@gmail.com. Please just let me know how many to expect so I can make sure everyone has plenty of shrimp.

Thanks,

Laura

Gotta love this group.I raced for 4 years before we had a grid of 10 racers. Now we get 'em to show up for a fun run and some food.

Thanks to all. Wish the others in the Spec e30 family could make it down to RRR.

Be there or be square.
