Kirk Weld-in Cage

#1

The brother-in-law and I are ready to install our roll cages and had always planned on having them done locally by a mutual friend/fabricator. With the high price of steel and a busy holiday schedule, it looks lie a weld-in kit from Kirk is a better bargain for time and money.

Our thoughts are to purchase the standard kit and add the additional door bars, rear diagonal and dash bars ourselves. Kirk will sell us the additional bars, but I’m assuming they would need to be cut to fit.

I was wondering if anyone has started with a weld-in kit and added additional bars on your own. We have everything needed except a 1.75" mandrel for the bender if anything would need to be bent. From the pics and cars we saw, these added bars could be straight tubes.

We only spoke to Kirk for a few minutes on the phone, just looking for any user experiences.

I’d add foot protection too…

Yes, that will be added as well. Thanks for the reminder.

"FOOT protection" pics?

you will find a bunch of pics if you search for roll cage. The foot protection is just one or two bars running from the A pillar down bar to a plate on the front wheel well.
