Aluminum skin in Spec E30? I thought you can replace the door panel, but not the skin, is that correct?
I’ll keep my electric windows until they give up.
Assuming you have NASCAR style door bars and have cut the bottom half out of the door panel, just weld a blind nut to the door skin at the same height as the bottom of the window. Then screw a bolt in until it touches the metal guide on the bottom of the window. It will hold it in place during transport and still allow the window to come out of the bottom of the door while racing.l
