June Infineon Post Race Update

#1

Hey Everyone,

Sorry folks that I’m a little tardy on my post-race update from Infineon. I’ve been out of town and out of pocket the last week or so. I also apologize for not being very well organized during the last event. We didn’t pick the Evil Genius Hard Charger award during the event as John Pagel and I missed our connection following Sunday’s race. So, I consulted with John after the event and we both agreed that the EGR Hard Charger for the weekend goes to Steve Ferrario. As most of you know Steve totaled his beautiful #93 SE30 in Turn 10 during Sunday’s qualifying session. We picked Steve because both John and I were impressed with Steve’s positive attitude after his wreck…specifically Steve was looking forward and making immediate plans on building a new race car. He wasn’t crying in his beer (like I would have been doing!) over his newly wrecked car. He was planning ahead in order to make it to the Nationals come hell or high water. For his positive “hard charging” attitude Steve earns the EGR HC award. Congratulations Steve!

With the help of my daughter Madeline, a random draw of numbers for those racers finishing 6th or lower on Saturday, the AIM Tire $100 gift certificate goes to 10th place finisher Bennett McMicking. Congratulations Bennett! Thanks to Ron Cortez at AIM tire for his support of NorCal SpecE30!

Nichols Wealth Management fine Central Coast wine went to Tony Zwain for clocking Saturday’s fastest lap of the race. The other bottle went to the 5th place finisher on Saturday, Scott Clough. A big thanks to Kevin Nichols for his support of NorCal SpecE30.

I will compile a spreadsheet for the 986 Driver Cooling System points race shortly and send via a separate email.

Thanks and see you at Thunderhill in August! August will be the perfect time for Casa Ramos Margaritas…three (on the rocks…no salt) should be just about right for me on Friday night :woohoo:

Cheers,
Scott

The way things went this weekend it’s good to know 10th place Saturday had a bigger reward then 3rd. Thanks AIM, Madeline and others that wouldn’t let me pass…

See ya at T-Hill with a new attitude! thanks to Kevin N.

Hey, hard charging is a state of mind! Glad to hear Steve will be back soon.

I have some video of the race posted:

It was interesting to watch the race unfold from running in GTS. I genuinely missed running against you guys. It was fun to know what it feels like to be Donny, Gary, Steve, Tony or Scoot charging forward from the back. Of course I had an unfair advantage.

Looking forward to THill. Hope we don’t lose anymore cars, our ranks are thinning.

Watched your video Andy, sorry to tell you, but, boringggggg! You did not give anybody a chance! You just stinkin’ ran away with it! Good Grief give the guys a chance especially if you are filming. You are not going to win an Oscar for that film. Although I am sure Brad is proud of your performance and result. Congrats on a dominant Win!

The Championship Title is still up for grabs among the top guys. It will be entertaining to watch it play out!

I agree with you Kevin, it was a boring video. As I told Andy after the race “I had nothing for you” he just drove away turn by turn. My video is just as boring unless you watch it through the rear view mirror. Now if the camera was on the back of MY car that would of been entertaining!

Ha Ha, don’t we all wish our videos were that boring. I agree yawner! BTW did you have a camera on the front just incase or…

Nope. There was only one option.
