Is this mod legal?

So, I’m driving this E30 in the One Lap of America this year… It’s basically a SpecE30 with a couple extra things. I was wondering if the induction mod would be legal in SE30 :unsure:

9.3.1.1.1. Air filter elements may be replaced.

3.5. “Replaced” means that the item may be replaced with items meeting or exceeding OEM
specifications.

Looks like you are good to go. I, too, prefer that type of mechanical, centrifugal, twin scroll air filter. Beats that old NAPA paper filter every time and clearly exceeds OEM specs. :woohoo:
