Seems like a good ride…but Bronzit?

Be very careful with that "lightweight" sheet metal. Looks like the underside of the car may be pretty "lightened" as well if the body is any indication.

I would run away from that car. Reason the rust! You can only see the surface rust. What’s under the carpet and the underbody? I bought a PA car sight unseen and it was a rust bucket. You couldn’t see it until I started tearing the interior out. Last week I removed the insulation from the trunk and guess what surface rust. My advice DON’T buy a car with rust. Remember, you can’t rip out the guy’s carpet and interior insulation. You can look under the car. A little rust is ok. Northeast cars with rust, move on. A link to rust discovery.

Here is a CA car on ebay. Problem is getting it to the east coast and I will never buy a car without inspecting in person first. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1&viewitem=&item=220068941003

I agree. DO NOT buy a car with any rust showing unless you have gotten under it and around it and gone over it with a fine tooth comb. I got a car sight unseen from OH last spring and basically was only able to salvage the drive train from it. This was an expensive life lesson for sure.

I’m in the same boat with you on the rust. I was lucky to find a body shop to sponsor my car. I’m sure the body work and paint would have been $4000. I spent $1000 already on body shop supplies and body parts. He’s providing the labor. It has still been a painful and expensive lesson. See Rust, See me run away.
