Looking good, sunny and mild with Friday being the warmest day with highs in the low 70s then cooling to the low 60s by Sunday. Sunday might be a little breezy with winds NNW @12mph.
See Ya!

Can’t wait. Don’t forget the Elk Steaks[/quote]
For who? I now have 18 requests!
Better bring the big grill…Saturday afternoon Elk tappas are on you.
Trefethon is going to supply the cab.
60% chance of rain for saturday and Sunday. i would imagine that the track would be VERY greasy.
I’m away from the weather desk for one day and all hell breaks loose. The new forecast is light rain starting around 7am Saturday and then getting more persistent around 10am continuing until 1am Sunday then partly cloudy throughout. Rain amounts will be in the .50-.75in so it will be wet for the most part Sarutday and dry Sunday. I will have more time to dig into this event later so stay tuned…
It’s tough to bbq in the rain!

Model runs show a change in the general weather pattern by week’s end. Timing and intensity is still up in the air, one indicates a slight chance another indicates probable rain for the weekend, this one is a little trickier so as we get closer models should start agreeing and the forecast will become more accurate. At this point it’s 50/50
If I am outside and the top of my head is wet…then it is raining. If the top of my head is burning then…it is sunny.
Technology can process data put it cannot and will never predict the weather…just like economists cannot tell you what the future of the economy will be with accuracy, only generalities.
Note to self: Have dry tires in case it is dry. Have wet tires incase it is wet.
There that is the weather prediction and preparation for the entire year. Now lets race!
LMAO!!! maybe roll the dice and run dries even if it is damp hmmm NOT at Sears Pt.
can’t wait for the next poppy report. GO PACKERS
I predict we will all have fun & that the car in first place when crossing the finish line will win the race.
How’s that for a forecast?

I know there are people that plan their whole life/weekend schedule and race prep around the accuracy of my weather report. Today I have two reports one for The Shoe so when he goes out on his own he has something to work with and one for others. To you Shoe the weekend weather will be, could rain or shower or be sunny maybe kinda cloudy, windy with some calm times sort of cool but a little warmer, when you go out to measure the weather on your own be sure to take your hat off, accuracy is critical. For all others is still 50/50.
Appreciate the reports - helps me plan for not only the race but also in what I will need to get there safely and back home again. Going to work on getting my heater and defrost fans working today

Unless the car crossing first was out of position on the start, or did a little too much bumping or was under weight, otherwise I agree, completely. No matter who wins it won’t be a car I currently own, that is for sure!

No disrespect to you Duck Boy. Only a comment on weather prediction from the powers that be and my faith in their accuracy a week or more in advance.
I did forget a couple of my highly accurate weather identification methods like:
If I have been struck by Lightning, it is a Thunder Storm, if I am being beat to death, it is a Hail Storm, If I am drowning it is a flash Flood. If I can’t see the car in front of me it is foggy, or I am in the lead (you choose). If I am whining it is cold.
No No, no disrespect taken, I just hope you don’t heed the weather reports because of its inaccuracies.
So the revised forecast calls for, Shoe close your eyes, a slight chance Sunday! I bet you peeked??

Update, looks like the rain won’t happen this weekend but we can expect the days to be on the cool and breezy side, the high for both days will be in the low 60s and the low will be near freezing Friday and Saturday nights, so cover you lemons before you leave. At this point I’m going to defer to my colleague, The Shoe, for the actual race day weather. Stop by his rental “Red Baron” for the current forecast and any game day tips on tire setup he might offer, he might even let you rub the top of his head for good luck.
Unless there’s a significant change see you on the grid, OUT.
