Infineon 6/7,8

Just 2 weeks away.

Looks like the sub-optimal group A schedule at Infineon continues:
Sat
8:10 AM 8:20 AM 0:10 Group A & C Warmup (out on green)
11:10 AM 11:30 AM 0:20 Group A Qualifying
5:15 PM 5:40 PM 0:25 Group A Race

Sun
8:10 AM 8:20 AM 0:10 Group A & C Warmup (out on green)
11:10 AM 11:30 AM 0:20 Group A Qualifying
3:35 PM 4:00 PM 0:25 Group A Race

I wonder how much grousing from last time bubbled up to the top about the 10 minute warmup and shortened race? Maybe they’ll revise it in the next 2 weeks?

Saturday TT may be the winning strategy to break up the slow 5 hours between qual and race.

Where did you find that schedule…Its not posted on the event reg page, maybe it will be different…

Trying to find a silver lining in this, at least the late finish is at Infineon and not at Thunderhill.

This schedule does not provide much total track time. Signing up for group 4, TT, or Instructing are good ways to make the event more interesting.

I was at Barber last weekend and the Spec E30 guys there opted to skip the warm up and instead, held a 50 minute race. Still doesn’t provide more total time, but the longer race was fun.

Something we could propose in the future, in NorCal ??

We missed you at Thunderhill Ron! That is an interesting idea about rolling warm-up time into the race. I like it!

Hey Ron! I like the idea too but since we don’t have our own run group we would have to convince all of Group A to run a 50 minute race and I don’t think that’s too likely. I’d be all for it though!
