Racers,
Infineon is within our sites again. Lets all learn from the last time we visited the most technical track this side of the Mississippi. Patience, the line and patience. Infineon has a way of punishing those drivers that get in a hurry. The best example of this acknowledgement I have seen lately is from Austin Ford IV. Austin is an up and coming driver in the PT class working his way through HPDE with his e36. Austin and I have been paddock buddies since I started two years ago and his patience and mellow manor have helped me several times. His encouraging words at the last event gave me a feeling only surpassed by watching the checkered flag flying for my efforts. As Austin was giving me some encouraging words I noticed duct tape stretched across the bottom of his speedometer and tach. As I leaned in the words RELAX were written across the tape. I gave him a pat on the shoulder and said thanks man I needed that.
There has been a lot on the agenda since the last event and within the next few days an exceptional contingency offer will be released showing continued support for Spece30. This contingency offer comes with approval from the manufacturer and a smile to boot.
Lets all make it a point to find something to improve on at this next event and find ways to help others through our trials. We are growing at a rapid pace and I will need each one of you to help do your part in our growth. I have personal goals as the Series Director in which I will be concentrating on heavily and your recent input has been very helpful bringing that to my attention. I thank you for your candid approach.
One more note is to keep in mind this event fills up fast. I am going to arrive at the track on Friday sometime around noon to drop off our gear and place my stake on some good ole Sonoma asphalt. This event is so close to home I will be driving back and forth each day.
The last event showed driving skills improving and lap times lowering. The goal is to have one large pack competing for the entire race putting on a show that everybody in the paddock wants to watch. I am still on the hunt for the official Spece30 Race announcer so if anyone has anybody interested please let me know. I think a race announcer could put us on top and show the group we are serious about getting our own run group.
Infineon 4-12 / 4-13 pre race post
Another race right around the corner! I can’t wait to get back to Infineon. If it were up to me every race would be held there…
I should be there on Friday night as well.
Let’s try our best to make Spec E-30 look good. I think we all need to come together as a group and remember that we’re all there for the same reason: we love to race. Let’s try to put aside our differences and just have a good time and enjoy some good, hard, clean racing!

I hopefully will see everyone there…
hopefully why? what kevin said!
Now that the field has grown losing one is too tramatic. I will have the trailer and there is room for you to crash rent free since i will be driving back and forth.
Should be a lot of fun, tight racing for sure as everyone gets their times down.
Can’t wait either, looking quite forward to Infineon.
I’m trying to get another E30 guy to sign up for HPDE to get him hooked on spec E30
Looks like the price of s race weekend went up $50 since last time, and 10 minute warm up, 20 minutes qual, 20 minute race? I feel like I’m missing some minutes somewhere…
For those from Norcal, this is Tommy from T&S and driver for the blk HC #28. Walter has been a big supporter for our team, and has been giving me hell about racing a car that drives in reverse. I took up his offer at t-hill to try the guest car and was pleasantly amazed. The Spec E30 is a great setup, and the effort that Scott, Steve and Walter have put in to grow this series is simply amazing.
Walter and I will be sharing a car at Infineon, I look forward to racing with you guys.

I think we all need to recognize the effort that Donny Edwards has put forth to help the series as well. He has done a lot to promote the series and has been a huge help to us here at Valley Motorwerks as well as being an amazing friend. Thanks so much for all your hard work and help Donny!
…And welcome to the series Tommy!

You can blame Donny for me being here. HA HA
He is the reason my wife hates Willows.
Donny is a great supporter and mentor.
