IFU-4 - Registration Opening Soon

With the help of ScottMC and the NASA folks, we will be opening registration for the 2010 edition of the SpecE30 Inverted Field Unlimited race in two weeks, so make sure you’ve got the Nov 6/7 weekend blocked to come race at CMP.

Similar to previous years, there is a cost savings for paying in advance, and each entry includes an awesome T-shirt designed by our own ScottMC, who is also ending his self-imposed one-year sabbatical from racing at this event.

For the new guys, this is a bonus, extra-cost fun race, and is only open to SpecE30 cars. You must also be a participant in the rest of the NASA weekend (i.e. you can’t just come for the IFU)

Final pricing is being worked on now, and payments will be accepted via Paypal or snail-mail check. Talk it up among your friends, and let’s see if we can’t also get some of the MA and FL crowd and make it a blockbuster SpecE30 weekend!

If you really want a challenge, try saying it with my full last name, 3 times fast…

My year away is a result of the past 3 years of “our” vacation time having consisted of me going to the track :wink:

another part is due to me spending 98% of the first 3 month of the year on the road (I only spent 10-12 nights at home between New Years and March 29th…). So after missing the first 3 races… in frustration I said I should just take the year off. Shelby heard that as, “I am going to take the year off”. From there it was pretty much a done deal. But rather than taking the season off, which I never said, I’m taking 363 days off. I’ve really missed racing with you guys, but I’ll have to admit, I’ve gotten a lot of projects around the house done.:S

At any rate… I’m really looking forward to CMP. The fact that it’s the IFU4 weekend makes it all that much sweeter. Anyone who’s ever raced in an IFU knows, it some of the closest SE30 racing and has had the largest SE30 fields 3 years running. (I think that’s an actual fact)

Scott, thanks for the update.
Fix the house projects, purchase a townhome.

You’re so right about the IFU races. Learned more in one of those about the give-and-take of racing than I did in 2 years of BMWCCA racing. Basically you give the fast guys room and they take it…Then you try to hold your position against the racer that you were having fun with.
