IE Rear Sway Links Loose?!

#1

Finished installing my rear sway, only to find the end links are probably wrong. Bar measures 19mm but the hole in the end link bracket that the bar goes through is closer to 21+mm. I have them tightened as much as possible but the just slide on the bar! Are they wrong? Am I missing some bushings? Aaarrgh!

I had the same problem when I installed mine. I ended up filing down the inside surfaces between the bar clamp where the bolt that tightens it goes through. I hope that makes since to you. Basically you have to make it so the clamp will close down enough to tighten around the sway bar end.

Well, that sucks.
No way to win. Crappy end links for IE bars or incorrectly bent ones from ST. Either way, you’re ****ed.
:pinch:

UPDATE
Ireland apparently sent me the wrong end links. If you receive ones with a rounded top instead of a square chunk of aluminum, they may be too big. Unbelievably, the other car of our 2 car team received the correct ones, probably because they were shipped much later.
And, as per many other’s experiences, Ireland took weeks and several promises to fix the situation.
I ordered my parts through Flying Brick, which played middle-man with Ireland for me. I can’t say enough good about Daniel’s efforts to get the right parts for me. If you want to buy IE parts, order them through FB!
