I was right...my E30 was too loud to autocross...

But, on a bright note, I got to drive a SpecE36 build for my last 5 runs. First time I ever drove an E36 (not counting a brief drive of Lea’s M3). I finished 3rd overall and first in class. My one run in the SpecE30 would have given me 6th overall and 2nd in class (obviously a different class from the SpecE36).

This was only my 4th or 5th time autocrossing, so I attribute my performance to the skills you guys have been teaching me at the track.

Okay, now you can start bashing me for autocrossing.

I didn’t think you’d be the one to start bashing me!!

Bill autocrossing is fun. A drift in second gear is just like a drift in third-only slower.

(That was an astute observation.)

Come join us at Barber. Will you and Lea be there?

Yes. I likely won’t miss another race this year. Roebling was just at the wrong time for me to make it.

Autocrossing is like riding a MoPed- fun to do every once in a while, but don’t let your friends know you do it.

 There was is something else that is like riding a MoPed… but I will keep it G rated

Oh Buddy, you’ll see it, at least one time per race, likely as you lap my slow old ass!
