I am not a reckless shithead.

Scott, good to hear the real scoop on what actually happened.

As far as the lady who “runs” the track goes, I think we are all in agreement about her:angry: . The question is: what do we do about it? I could easily just forget about it, but I don’t really want to. She may have shown her personality to the wrong dog owner, we’ll see.

Tom, We all LOVE your dog! Unfortunately, the NASA CCR is clear and well defined about bringing pets to the track. You may have a problem pleading your case. :frowning:

Well, the way I figure it, when I’m at Roebling I’m a guest at their house. That puts me on my best behavior. Although it does seem that I occasionally screw up nonetheless.

Am reminded of a story. A decade + ago I needed a civilian lady at Ft. Stewart to cut me some slack. She was a cranky old useless biddy. And she ran a base support organization and my unit needed her help in a big way. But instead of creating a confrontation I went and sent her some flowers. She said it was the nicest thing anyone ever did for her and for the rest of my days my brigade got whatever it wanted.

Sometimes clever makes for an easy win.

If that fails, you can always choke the shit out of them.

Good point Steve, thanks for the reminder.

Scott, I like the flower idea - NOT!!

Hey, did you all happen to catch her speech over the PA about not drinking alcohol until after the track was cold for the day? Classic stuff, wish I had it on tape - reminded me of the Miss Ballbreaker character from the Porky’s movies.

How was it decided which turn you were banished to? Turn four seems to be the least likely to see flag action.
I dunno why I was assigned to turn 4. I was thinking about misunderstanding my guidance and ending up at turn 3. Which is where Kristen, the cute flagger was.

Misunderstandings happen.
You should’ve told Tom that, he would’ve let you have fun at T3

As I understand it, he picked T4 for all of the offs that usually occur there

Ya ya. Tom just loves me. When you and Tom were talking to me after the driver’s meeting and I was trying to tell my side of things, I watched Tom closely. He looked to me to be so damn mad that I figured I’d better shut the hell up or I’d never allowed at a NASA event again.

I could make a terrible joke about how Scott may have gotten off if he had been assigned to T3 with a cute flagger!

So, go ahead…do it.

One last post then I’ll shut up. I’m not arguing that the rules should be changed, I know the rules are there to keep things as safe as possible. However, I am going to continue to argue that her rude fashion of dealing with small rules infractions is unacceptable. Its also a double standard as she has brought pets to the track as well, a bunch of them and none are on leashes. There is no way in hell that Rigby or any other dog is going to jump the fence and run out on the track like the cats do - hell Rigby will hardly go further than 50 feet from me. I know that I should have had him on his leash eventhough it was about 6:45am and the track was not even open yet.
Fact is the lady has a terrible attitude. If you have not checked out my Wicked Witch of RRR post on the SE NASA forum you’ll want to, pretty good stuff there from the rest of the classes - pretty unanamus (sp? ) that she is a pain.
Okay, I’m done… until one of you gets me going again!:woohoo:
