Damn, that sounds like fun. Not driving cross country for it, but sounds like a good time.

It is a pretty good time. Good music and a full house in the paddock with 3 race groups, HPDE sessions.

#6

HPDE2 id full
HPDE3 has 8 spots left
HPDE1 has a little more room. If you have anyone on the fence, now is the time to register

#7

Ok, just signed up and this will be my first race so I’ll have the big fat R on the back of my Bronzit:sick: E30. I am definately looking forward to taking this step up from HPDE into competition racing.

Nothing like a deadline to force you to finish the car… well everything except the paint

Mike

All HPDE’s are full with a wait list.
If you plan on racing, sign up soon. Last year we were very close to having to close the race groups due to total car count.
No joke.

NO BRONZIT CARS ARE ALLOWED ON TRACK TO RACE!:stuck_out_tongue:

(Don’t look at my doorsills),

Add one more to list.
Hopefully we’ll have another 20+ car field.

What a bargain, $262 for the weekend! I’m in too, can’t wait!

I’m in too. Sorry about CMP. I really enjoy the little track. Unfortunately, I have a significant work event that is just too close to the race weekend that it’s bound to cause issues. Plus, my RV is quite thirsty and it’s about a $400 fuel bill for the trip. Add to that I have to run my diesel generator because they only have 15amp power and I am looking at near $500 just in fuel before hitting the track. I really wish we (NASA) could find a way to get another venue up this was say at Watkins Glen.

I was not going to run as it is the weekend after the SE Rockingham race…but if Osborne is going to be there, I have to make it. Back to back weekends…

That is what I want to hear!! I plan to camp and enjoy the weekend. Never been to Hyperfest.

Al, I will bring a few extra dogs or burgers to accomodate you.

The weekend we are at Hyperfest also has a Fraternal Order of Eagles national meeting where they have booked 850 hotel rooms. One more thing to make this event interesting, huh? All the hotels I have spoken with say that they will not use that many rooms and many rooms will become available in May depending on when the hotel’s cutoff is for that group. So, please put this info on the hfest site:

On the same weekend of Hyperfest, there is a large conference group that has reserved over 800 hotel rooms. Many of these rooms will be released either May 1 or May 15, so if you have trouble finding a hotel room early, you may have more luck after that time. These hotels below currently have rooms, but other hotel chains will have rooms after the above cut off dates. I was not able to establish any large blocks at any hotels so there is no NASA rate available. Just ask for lowest rate.

Marriott Courtyard
540-678-8822

Candlewood Suites (opens on June 10) ($89):
1135 Millwood Pike
Winchester, VA 22602
(540) 667-8323

Fairfield Inn
540-665-8881

Travelodge ($88 or $78):
160 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA
(540) 665-0685

Red Roof Inn ($65 or $70):
540-667-5000

Who needs a stinking hotel room anyway. I plan on camping with the family and Al (who is an honorary member of my family BTW). That is where the fun is. For those who don’t think they have the equipment to camp, when Al came to Mid-Ohio to practice for Natinals he had a stack of tires on one side, his car on the other, and a tarp overtop. He did sleep in his drivers suit as it was a little chilly in the early morning hours.
