How does temperature affect the LSD breakaway

#1

I need to have my LSD shimmed (tightened up).
The breakaway is supposed to be 65ft lbs after coming off the track (hot).
How does temperature affect breakaway?
Should I have the shop shim to 65ft lbs or less/more?
Does it make a difference checking breakaway at the flanges in the shop vs in the car at the wheel?

I don’t know that anyone has a good handle on the affect of temperature or the affect of difference fluids.

It makes no difference whether you check break away torque with the differential mounted or not.

I checked diff LSD breakaway torque both hot and cold and the difference was within the % accuracy of my torque wrench. So if a hot diff slips easier, the change is small enough that it might not be worth noting.
