How Difficult to convert transmissions?

All,

How difficult is it to convert and automatic car to a manual? There are a couple of 325i cars in my area for ~1000.00 that are in good shape but are automatics. I was wondering how difficult it would be to convert these to manuals.

not hard. these guys actually sell a complete kit of necessary parts to do the job: http://www.theeurodepot.com/ They are really nice folks and have plenty of other parts for our cars as well.
