Homemade spoiler question

#1

After going through 3 spoilers, I have decided to go with a low cost homemade version.

I was wondering if any of you who have made one could share some information with me.

What is front material and where’d you get it? (no luck at Lowe’s or Home depot)
Where and how did you fasten it to the car?

Thanks

We used ABS plastic for our air dams, it’s impact resistant and can be molded with a heat gun. A 4’x8’x0.125" sheet costs about $60 and makes two.

I just bolted it to the stock bumper.

Look at mine on Friday.

I’d like to have something before then. You got any pics?

My primary issue is finding the material in time.

I bought some of this stuff http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/1557,229_Colored-Plastic.html but have yet to finish making one. Concrete walls and spun bearings keep making sure I don’t have the time to do that  Stuff seems pretty good though and its cheap

I used 1/8" high density poly ethylene (HDPE) from Tap Plastics - up to 1/4" is fine and shapes with a heat gun and some patience. I started mine in the middle of the valence bolting with load distributing fender washers and worked my way out. Very durable stuff.
