Gutting.....

Just seeking some advise. I was going to take the

  1. Seats front/rear
  2. Carpet
  3. Door panels/rear panels
  4. Rear decklid panel (where the speakers are)
out of the car and sell them. I am not going to need any of those panels am I? I was going to make the door panels out of aluminum, but just making sure I am not taking anything out that i am not supposed to. Isn’t disassembly fun!!!

You may take the rear parcel shelf out, but you need to leave the third brake light… Read the rules over and over again…

#3

yeah, I did, I have just heard conflicting info on removing door panels and such. But I think I am pretty safe removing what I have listed. Do you think 400 is a fair price for front rear seats (sport fronts) and door panels and carpet?

If you can sell it for 400, well then so be it. I ended up trashing mine…

Put the pipe down! $400 would be a dream. In bits and pieces I might have eeked out $200 from those parts.

I’ve seen sport seats in good condition go for over $600 on ebay. Rear seats are easy to find and don’t bring as much.

Damn Sasha… I want to buy stuff from you.

I’d say I’ve made over $900 from the interior parts I’ve sold. I guess it helps that I started with a garage queen

Ebay and/or patience - maybe. I got $250 for every bit of red leather - panels / seats - in the car and all was in pretty good shape. I don’t know how guys sell used carpet, mine was nasty. The leather spot in front of the pedals is padded so I cut out and use as a kneeling pad.

Oh, I made about $1,000 off my car all told, but not from just the specific interior parts listed. My cruise control, Conforti chip, basketweaves, and speakers brought in a nice chunk. Who said racing doesn’t pay?! :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re not supposed to add in the money you get from doing “favors” in downtown Durham. Just because they take place in a car dosen’t mean those guys are paying you for racing.
