I am writing this with no intent of disrespect for Victor or anything he has done for our region. I also am not trying to deprive him of any (if any) perks that come with being a region’s series director. Now with that said, Would it be possible to either appoint someone attending an event as series director or maybe have some co-series directors?
There is only about 4 or 5 of us active racers in our region and typically only 3 or 4 at an event like Mid-Ohio and less at other venues but it would be good for the series to have a spokesperson available. As an example, last event at Mid-Ohio the race director said he talked with all the series directors and the consensus was to gird everyone in a group by time not by class. This would have put the 3 Spec E30’s spread out among the GTS1 and GTS2 cars. There would have been no racing in class. We were able to get this changed and just grid last and as such there were a few laps anyway where we had some close racing. We are also doing rolling starts and suspect that many of the other regions are doing standing starts.
I am not sure what other decisions are being made when those of us competing are just out of the loop and show up at grid. Also, there is no contact for HPDE guys to go to when they ask the officials about Spec E30.
I know Simon will be at most events and I go to Most Mid-Ohio events and there will be some events with no Spec E30 at all.
I don’t know the solution but just looking for ideas.
Thanks for listening.

PS If Victor is planing to attend the majority of the region’s events, that in itself is the solution.
