GM/Pennzoil Synchromesh Transmission Fluid.

Anyone using this? It is a GL-4 fluid that is compatible with yellow metals.

I’ve got two gear boxes sitting on the floor in the shop with 3rd gear problems, and both of those were running MTL. I’m installing a new tranny when I put my car back together and would rather not have the same issue a third time. Everything I’ve read suggests this stuff is magic, it is also dirt cheap.

Thoughts??

ATF…280k+ trans with no shifting problems.

Chuck, what kind of ATF?

I use Redline D4 ATF which is supposed to be good in all three of the trans variants we use. I have a red label trans now which requires atf.

I use any ATF rated for Chevy products…NOT Ford. Change once every couple of years…always comes out red.
