Fusebox relocation

#1

I apologize if this has been brought up before…

I am building a new SE30 along with my own wiring harness (which I understand is legal)

Has there ever been a ruling concerning fusebox relocation?

Essentially I want to remove the stock fusebox, create my own fusepanel (closer to the driver)
and of course eliminate un-needed fuses/circuits/relays in the process.

My regional director is ok with this but can anyone clue me in on how this would be treated at the Nationals?

Thanks,

No, there’s no rule re. fusebox relocation. Therefore you can’t.

That said, if you want to put in additional fuses, knock yourself out. Just don’t remove the OEM fusebox.

I have a panel of fuses on the firewall forward of the passenger’s knees. It has fuses for the gauges, helmet cooler, coolshirt, cameras, and stuff like that.

No way you’d make it thru Nationals with a missing fusebox. Someone would prob protest it. No one would probably care if you cut all the wires to it, but the box itself should be there.

Outstanding…thanks for the answer. I am happy with that.
