Front Tow Strap Install - Short Bumper Car

I want to install my Bimmerworld web front tow strap so I can throw away my factory hook. I started to remove the black trim plastic to figure out the easiest way to get the web strap over the stock tow hook mounting point. Getting that plastic off made me think there must be a better way to start.

If I remove the two allen head bolts accessible from the bottom of the bumper will it pull off trim and all forward??? Then I would only need to unhook the turn signals and the side markers and I could pull it right off. If yes then getting the strap on should be pretty easy. If not what the easiest way to get this strap on the car.

Any hints or tricks people learned over the years.

Yes, you’re on the right path… if you remove the allen bolts and disconnect the signals, the whole thing will pull off/forward. That’s the way we got to it on our short-bumper car. Have fun!

Great. Wish I asked before I started to remove the black plastic trim. Its set for quick release now with half the tabs broken off.
