If you have trouble with the exhaust clamps that came with your exhaust, it’s ok to weld your exhaust or to use a different type of exhaust clamp. As always, your solution needs to perform no other function and can’t add performance benefit.
Here’s an example of a different kind of exhaust clamp that would be acceptable.
