Feeler: Subframe Bushing Tool

#1

I might be machining my own subframe bushing tool in the near future. If I made a few extra, would anyone be interested and how much would you pay for one?

Steven540i helped me with his tool a few weeks ago, so I won’t be needing one. But I would think you would get a lot of interest from some of the e30 and z3 guys on some of the other boards.

Good Luck!

Lance,
There is a slim chance that I might be interested (my Spece30 car subframe bushings are done, but there is still DD). What would be ball park figure?

I’ve yet to do this job & would be very interested in the tool.

I’d need a ballpark figure as well, but likely will take one if its a nice piece.

I would be interested in this as well, being that places sell the whole kit (E28, E30, E36,…) for $300+, I’d say if you can do one just for and E30 around $150.00 or less you might have a winner.

After seeing the factory tool, my goal is to not go over $150. The material would be steel to keep the costs way down. I’d either spray some paint over it or leave it bare and let the consumer paint it or give it a coat of oil every now and then to fight rust. I might try it in brass, but we’ll see if it’s strong enough. Stainless would be really nice, but the cost would just go through the roof.
