Feeler: Rebuilt Diffs available for sale

#1

Hey guys as many of you know we have been supplying quality rebuilt transmissions for spec e30s’ and e30s’ in general. I get many requests for Differentials as well. I am considering carrying these and they would sell for $550.00(with core) for a refreshed differential with new clutch discs in the LSD. This is of course for a 3.73 lsd. I realize many of you can rebuild these yourself or have other sources so lets leave that for another thread. Just looking to see how much interest there is out there.

I think it’s a nice option to have available. Do you know what kind of break-away torque these rebuilt units are getting?

As an added bonus, maybe have them with the Z3 finned diff cover? And optionally have the stock bushing pressed out.

i have the z3 cover and it hangs kinda low, smacked it pretty hard at the last vir race while going two wide in the esses. if you’re a curb hopper it might not be the best option unless you have lots of rear spring pads installed.

thanks for the comments Rob, looking at about 65 ft lbs using the tourque wrench method. Much better than the under 40 I had before.

the diff cover is no problem just adds to the cost. also we can press a new bushing or poly bushing in if you like

Do you install new bearings?

#6

If the bearings need replacement they are replaced. the one pictured needed a new pinion bearing

Andrew - I am impressed with the exteriors of your trannies and diffs. What do you do to clean them up like that? Also looks like you have new fasteners. Are you replating the housings and fasteners? - DH

PS - Last time I looked at your web site I could not see prices for your trannies.

Thanks David, they do look great I think. Trade secret;) The fasteners are original just cleaned up. The E30 transmissions are 750 + core.

I’m interested for sure.
