Here’s a “build picture” that I’m not proud of. I had this trick installation for the oil gauge that involved brackets, small hex-head bolts, and epoxy. I tried twice, but the epoxy failed as I tightened the bolts–the red plastic lining in the duct opening is too slick for a good bond. Tonight I got tired of fighting it and turned to duct tape. I think I’m getting the hang of this race car thing now: it’s not how it looks, it’s how it works. Unfortunately now I need to work on getting a whole lot faster. Well, at least I used black duct tape!
