I’d be all for a one off champ race with extra contingency. I’d probably be a little annoyed with Sebring, but would probably still go. I used to work there so it would be like a semi homecoming…

How about points accumulated from best 4 of the 5 events so that we don’t all have to go to Sebring and FL people don’t all have to hit the Glen?

My suggestion is to shoot for a more modest number of events timed mid-season to avoid competing with Nationals. You could consider a dual-event or three event format (eg. VIR & MO or VIR/MO/Rd Atlanta) and rotate the locations from year to year. We have had fledgling efforts to do something along those lines with Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions(VIR & Rd Atlanta), but bringing in more tracks and regions would be great. It is always easier to build on success if you start small.
