Sean, thanks for the advice. What kind of pressure gauge would I use to test the fuel pressure? I have scheduled a slot to send my injectors to Cruzin already. They said they would turn them around in 2 days or less. Thanks for the offer on the loaner injectors but I can manage with my car sitting for a week or so. Is there anything else that you would recommend doing while I’m in there pulling the injectors?[/quote] Yep Fuel hoses. I bought a Fuel pressure guage at Autozone I think. It is a universal kit and I really only used the guage and fit it in a T fitting.

I wish I’d had the time to search through e30tech.com before I had to get to the dyno shop to meet Al – all I had to do was rock the car back & forth once to break the friction of the e-brake. :pinch:

Oh well, in the end, it worked out – they had time for two cars and I’ll go back tomorrow, since there’s no rush; the downpipes Al packed along had a hole in them. :silly:

Something interesting I noticed on my dyno chart…there was a flat spot right in the middle where I lost 10-15 hp…that is also where my mixture leaned out a little…now the fact it picked back up for the last 2000 rpm’s makes me believe that the Air flow meter may have a bad spot where the car would be used the most…cruising on the hyway around 3000-3500… I am hesitant to use another used AFM…I might be buying a new one…

I think my #'s were 145, 146, 150…the last being after I took my muffler off.

I’ve been away for a few days and forgot about the dyno day. I have numbers from that same dyno and will post them here either tonight or tomorrow.

And I’ll watch the forum more now that the home projects are slowing down.

A week later…

With the stock catalytic converter, muffler and some crushed pipes near the subframe
[li]Power: 141.58 Torque: 143.46[/li]

As soon as I get some non-swiss cheese downpipes from Al, I’ll go back for a second run.

dynoed today

156hp 152 torque (low miles makes good power)
