Dyno at RA in Dec

#1

I’m working to get a dynojet dyno at RA next month.

Recall that we are not explicitly required to have a dyno sheet in our logbook like hp/wt classes do. Our requirement, per Carter, is to have the right weight for our hp. Therefore when the day comes that there is a dyno set up at impound, you’ll know your weight is good because you dynoed your car recently.

I guarantee that we will have a dyno at impound at a SE event at least once next year. It remains to be seen whether or not the dyno’s presence will be announced beforehand.

Dynoing your car is $100 for 3 pulls. If you hustle and there isn’t a bunch of other cars waiting, you can do a little part swapping on the dyno. Don’t lost track of the fact tho that if you make changes on the dyno, long term fuel trim might not stabilize until a bit later.

I’d be in for a dyno day!!

#3

I could use a few pulls.

What is the status on the dyno at RA? I cannot make the races, but may drive over for dyno runs on Sunday.

The dyno guy is supposed to contact me next week to confirm that he can make it. If I don’t hear from him, I’ll call him again the Monday before RA.

My dyno guy cancelled out on us but Jim got us another. So there should be a Dynojet at RA.

#7

If you want a dyno run, tell Julie@Registration when you get to RA.

#8

How much per pull?

Cash only? check, credit?

#9

I don’t know. I checked the NASA forum and there’s no info there yet. In the absence of info I’d assume that the cost will be in the ballpark of $100 for 3 pulls. In terms of how to pay, be flexible.

I’m interested to know all the E30 dyno results.

Rain kept the Dyno man away. TBD at January Dyno day at Balanced.
