Drive shaft

#1

Does anyone have a decent condition drive shaft for an '89 325i? Or is it best just to take off the old one and send it off to be rebuilt? I am beginning to get driveline vibrations and I suspect the center bearing is bad.

check out the tech procedure writeups at Pelican Parts web site. Be sure to mark the various parts of the driveshaft so you can put them back together the same (balanced) way, and don’t paint over your marks trying to make the pieces look purdy …

The last person to replace the rubber flex disc put it on backwards and the direction DOES matter. It was almost totally destroyed. On a similar subject, does anyone have an idea of how necessary the vibration balancer is to performance? It’s a tight fit with a short shift kit installed.

vibration balancer is history on my car, and its removal is allowed in the rules.
