Door panels

I was wondering if someone could give me an explanation or expand on the ruling about door panel…

9.3.13.23. Door panels may be replaced with 0.060-inch aluminum or comparable material, securely attached to the door.

what are acceptable "comparable materials"?

Scott:

Some guys are using hard-sheet plastic. Pretty-much any hard surface that covers the interior of the door is ok.

I’ve left mine stock just because I like the stock/simple look.

I interpret it as something that will keep shattering door glass out of the interior. Some have used ABS sheet.
