Guys
I’m no expert at building a race car. I ordered my sways from Irleland and got the front installed. I think it’s the wrong sway bar. Rules say non adjustable, but the bar can be adjusted? Anybody else have Ireland sways up front?

Edited post after reading instead of just looking at the pictures.
Looks like the adjustable version bar and not the Spec E30 bar. My IE bar only has one hole in it for attaching to the end link.
I believe I read something on Ireland’s site where they say it can be ordered as adjustable or with one hole for Spec E30. Maybe just pick a hole to use and then fill in the other two.

Dude, Ireland just did this to me last week.
I spoke to Jeff Ireland on Saturday, who very politely refused to exchange it unless I pay shipping both ways… "but my invoice says non-adjustable for SpecE30" I tell him. He then tells me, among other things, that "it doesn’t matter, just weld shut the holes you don’t want and paint it" and a few other things I won’t post here.
So basically this almost appears to be standard procedure. Get this- I previously ordered the non-adjustable SpecE30 bar from him (about a year ago) and got the wrong one then too, but decided to use it on my street E30 rather than seek an exchange (which is what I should have done).
I knew this was happening to other people, I’m just glad to see the proof.
This seems to be the norm for Ireland’s customer service. I left 2 phone messages and emailed him, but no response. Clearly, unless you specify adjustable you will receive non adjustable front sway. I’ve had several problems with ordering, this is icing on the cake. So basically he thinks we should go the extra effort to fill in the holes, after figuring which hole works best. Thanks for the warning. That was my last order from Ireland directly. I’ve got a few idea’s to remedy this problem in my favor.
Too many holes…
And they told you to do what?
OMG!!!
Fortunately I ordered from Flying Brick and got the right part.
I had to deal with IE once before, and never again. Why did you order directly from them? They are not cheaper.
Why do we keep buying from them? It’s not the first time this happens.
Like BETO said, I wouldn’t buy directly from Ireland. Seems they’re customer NO-service is top notch. Try one of they’re dealers or better yet buy from another manufacturer altogether. There are a lot of good alternative to IE products. If enough customers go to the competition then maybe IE will get the message and learn to take care of the customer.
Ha, they once sent me the wrong exhaust TWICE! third time, 3 weeks later, was a charm.
Then i had to call a couple weeks later that i had 2 wrong exhaust sitting in my garage that need to be picked up or i’ll keep em.
THEN i got a random box in the mail from them addressed to someone who wasnt me!
Definately avoid them… i even try to avoid buying their parts.
Is there a solution for the IE Bars that are adjustable? Not only is my front adjustable, but my rear too.
the rears are allowed to be adjustable. For the front, pick a hole and fill in the other two so they are no longer adjustable.
cheers,
bruce
edit - Igor beat me to the hole …

I’ve heard that Ireland "doesn’t like the Spec E30 Officials" or something like that.
I have also heard several people complain about their experiences with Ireland products, although I have never bought anything from them so I cannot comment on any personal experiences.
As Spec E30 drivers and car builders, we have several options when it comes to buying virtually all the parts for our cars.
I just bought my center net from BimmerWorld, a Spec E30 supporter.
