DeVinney's Signature

#1

Did you notice the new tag line?
“3rd least mediocre SE driver in the nation” ?

We’ll have to clean up DeVinney’s use of the English language.
How about “Representing the SE, I was the 3rd least medioce driver in the nation.”

Or, was he second in mediocrity? Regardless, his 3rd finish is to be applauded. Ferrario slips on the green flag restart and Cobetto passes for another title.

Howerer,I want the title of third least medoicre SE driver.Any challengers for that one?

Regards, RP

Oops, I goofed, “SE30” is in his signature, not just “SE”.
So, Steve is correct. But it is a slow day so we’ll see what interest there is in the typed competition for 3rd SE driver.

Considering he was the best driver (and only one) at nationals from SE30’s most mediocre region… doesn’t that make him the MOST mediocre in the country?

It’s good to be the best at something!

DeVinney is our tallest midget

#4

…smartest guy at the tractor pull…

#5

shouldn’t he use the past tense “drover”?

#6

I modified my signature to clarify the difference between SE and SE30. My bad.

Re: Nationals
The racing was quite fun. I wish that the field could have been 20 instead of 6 even though that would have put me off the podium. Cobetto and Ferrario put on a great show in virtually every session. It’s too bad Victor was down on power because Brad, Scott and I had some fun, close racing in our battle for 3rd.

I can’t say enough good things about the track. I think the altitude lessens the impact of horsepower because everyone is breathing through a straw. The track layout was pretty easy to learn during test day but impossible to get “right” over the next 3 days. With the open runoff areas and wide track surface, it is a place that invites side-by-side racing and doesn’t punish you too hard if you get it wrong. The track has a lot more elevation changes than TV would lead you to believe.

The landscaping can’t compare, but the track facilities are almost as nice as Barber.

It is a long trip, but for a once-a-year treat I highly recommend it.
