Any out of regioners making the trip down for Road Atlanta. As always it’ll be a fun event plus this year lightning and thunder and split for the toy race on Sunday. Anyone who did the fun race in VIR last month knows that it was one of the most fun races to do with the inverted start.
December Road Atlanta
That’s good news that lightning & thunder have separate fun races. Last year it was waaaaay too crowded.
We will be there, we still have availability for the weekend and the enduro. hit me up!!
How about we do an inverted, but grouped-together SE30 field at the back of the Lightning fun race on Sunday?
It’ll be a mini-IFU

Paul, or others, what is your story?
RP
Then there is the Bill Z story and thee Maduske story…
Looks like Matt Thornton’s car number?
Will you accept a non-E30 participant in the Tail End IFU?
Looking forward to seeing y’all next weekend.
paul is a friend of mine, lives here in raleigh. RA will be his first race
btw if anyone wants to return to RA the week after nasa we could use a crew member or two at the chumpcar 14hr race on dec 8th.

Oh yes, this should be a great movie as the last time we watched it, I was down almost 15hp.
Road Atlanta weekend is coming and I understand that there are some people that don’t want to either buy a video camera or even figure out how it works. Here is chance to get your sessions on video with no hassles on your part. With a small fee of $20 per track session, I will mount a Go Pro Hero camera on your car and start the video for you!!! At the end of the day, I will hand you all your track sessions on a USB storage device!! Just contact me to save your spot! See everyone at the track!!
Email me your name, car information (including number), track session information, and how many sessions you would like recorded.

Yep, pains me a little to see my entry details with someone else’s name! Paul bought my car a couple of months ago and got his comp license at CMP. As much as I hate it, I’m glad someone is getting some use out of the car!
(My wife is upset that she no longer has a place in the garage to put old coffee cups and trash from her car)
Just registered tonight - I’m in for Sat/Sun this weekend. At CMP, the starter quit on Saturday. I replaced it with a fine used unit from Ranger’s Supply House of Illicit Trash (SHIT). Actually, it works fine and, hopefully, no push starts at RA.
The Thunder/Lighting split for the Toy Runs is a good idea; last year it was way too crowded.
See ya there!
[quote=“Patton” post=69489]Matt, why did you sell ?
Then we’ll get back to the RA topic.

First kid slowed the racing down a lot. Second kid pretty much killed it. I travel a ton for work, and couldn’t bring myself to get home Thursday night and head back out Friday morning for a weekend without the family.
The car sat in my garage for a year before I could bring myself to sell it. I’ll be back in eventually, but it’s probably going to be for the Spec e90 series when it happens 20 years from now!
Bought a Jeep to have some fun in that the family can enjoy. Been good so far, but nothing like a day at the track!
… back to RA…
Thanks for the update, Matt. We’ll miss you at the track. You were always fast in the 357 and Paul will have some learning to get your car back to the front of the pack.
Good luck with the rewarding family stuff.
I can see that your race future is on hold, but come join us in the seniors league in 16 years.
By then you’ll be 40-something and I won’t.

Awesome. Go get 'em kid.
If you are participating in the enduro, upon arrival pls badger the non-SpecE30 participants enough that they pick their gear up before they get settled, and move out of our parking area.
