Cylinder pics. Did I get a hone job or just honed?

Did my block get a hone job or not? The honing marks look pretty prominent to me, so I think that it did. But the block had 170k mi’s on it and I’ve heard folks say that high mileage M20’s often still show grooves in the cylinders. Your thoughts? You can take a penny and run the edge along the cylinder wall…if the copper is removed, the job is fresh. I can’t really tell from the pictures. The penny trick will let you know…you are looking for sharp edges on the new hone marks…that is what removes the copper from the penny.

More important, though, is the piston clearance.
You should have someone with the correct tools (micrometer and dial bore gauge) check the piston clearance. Since you will be running stock pistons, consult the Bentley for clearance. Chuck
