Custom brake ducting

#1

Is there any interest out there for custom made inlets and backing plates for front brakes? The 87 lends itself easily to this but what about other front ends? What kind of price would you be willing to pay?

Just trying to judge interest, I have an in with a large custom parts mfg and was looking to maybe get some made but would also like to offer it up to the community.

Let me know! thanks.

i have been looking for the backing plates that “sea;” to the rotor as to direct air into the hat of the rotor and out through the cooling fins, but so far i have only been able to find them at Korman they are $800+ which is out of anyones price range. so i was planning on making them myself, that being said if someone sold them for around 100 bucks id likely buy them, however i know that is an unlikely price to ask for but if you could find a way to make them pretty cheap, id be interested

I think that im going to work a set up then post pics, this may draw more interest. Yes backing plates that direct cool air more toward the center may work out.

I bought used cooling backing plates from a friend that were off an e30 m3. They didn’t fit at first, but I grinded them down and cut them. I was able to get two out of the three bolts in to attach them to the spindle and they are within a milimeter air gap to the rotor. I will try and post some pictures they came out really nice.
