Coolshirt hose ends

#1

Copied from a guy’s post at bf.c. Thought it might be handy info for someone some day.

I found the valves at McMaster Carr

below are the replacement connector part numbers with barbed ends and valves:
5923K73 (male)
5923K43 (female)

For draining the hose and shirt, you need connectors without valves. For the tube, you need a male and female connector. For the shirt, you need 2 female connectors. I used connectors with a screw coupling in lieu of the barb for purposes of more flow. These part numbers are:
51545K66 (male)
51545k13 (female)

also, the connectors are the same connectors used for beer lines and can be found at your local home brew store. thats where i got mine.

I recommend these:

They work just as well as the cool shirt fittings but you don’t have to press a button to separate them, you just pull. It’s handy when you have to get out in a hurry or after an exciting race when you forget to disconnect your shirt as you get out. They break dry. If you want to drain your shirt, order an extra male fitting to open the seal.
