cooling kinks

Hey everyone, I have a 87 325is, I have outfitted her with a specE30 stage 1 kit from Carr in NC. I have had a little problem with overheating and have replace water pump, fan clutch, thermostat cover because of a locked up bleed screw, and flushed the radiator. This car is now running great. However i had to cancel an autocross event because of a cut upper radiator hose. I did a McGyver with a hose from Napa to get me home. Now i’m wondering if i should replace all of my hoses with stock or go with at silicone kits from a place like bimmerworld. How many of you are running stock hoses over high perfomance silicone ones? Any suggestions will be a great help…

I have found Auto parts store hoses need to be trimmed about an inch off. Where the hose meets the Thermostat housing to avoid getting chewed up by the fan. You can also remove your fan anytime your at the track just to be extra safe.
