I have advice from a good authority that 0.012 cold makes more power, but will be a bit noisier.

Re turning the engine over, jumpering pins 11 and 14 in the diagnostic connector with a remote starter button will turn the engine over without letting it start (ecu is not powered). Just remember to have the transmission in neutral and the key not in the ignition. B) I didn’t even take the spark plugs out. Takes a bit of practice to get the lobes pointing downwards, but there is some latitude in position since that is the slowest changing point on the profile.
