Hey guys, first I want to thank you all for believing in the series and coming out to play! All the effort that has been put forth by us is coming to fruition in the form of a really fun series.
I wanted to comment on the vinyl requirements for the series. In order to get contingency money AND to enter the race in general we require the following:
“SSF” Number panels on each door, minimum 8" tall numbers per panel. Valley Motorwerks vinyls covering the SSF lettering on the top of the panel. It will bring consistency to the series and people will be able to spot the SpecE30 cars apart from the VERY few E30’s running in PT.
The series is unofficially the “Valley Motorwerks Norcal SpecE30 Series”. Jeremy Croisett, the NASA sponosor liason, and I spoke at length regarding the potential of the series last year and what we bring to the table as a company and promoter. We did not feel the need to make it official since every car at the time was either built by us or had large VMWERKS vinyls on them anyway. Consequently I do not have NASA officials checking the cars before they go out onto the track. It was left up to me to take care of this administrative duty. The 2009 season will bring more competitors and hopefully other supporting shops. Having Mike at Berkeley Motorworks and Sean Trapp / Edge Motorworks involved will raise the bar next year.
I want to make sure that we are all ready by the next race with the vinyls that you’ll need. I will have at least 4 pairs of the SSF panels. If you need numbers cut for the panels please let me know what you want and I will make them for you FREE the first time around.
The 2009 season will officially be the “Valley Motorwerks SpecE30 Series”. NASA officials will be checking the cars for the required vinyls.
If anyone has any questions please call the shop at 916.636.9526. I can setup the numbers you need and get them cut by the Infineon event.
