Co-driver needed for CMP Enduro

#1

Bill Z isn’t going to be at CMP (the wimp) and I need a co-driver. The qualifications are someone faster than I am (okay, that’s easy) and that can fit in a standard RaceTech seat. The seat is on sliders, so driver height shouldn’t be a problem.

This will be the first outing for the new car. Chi is going to drive it in the competition school, so I’ll have an opportunity to do any minor tweaks that seem advisable. Hopefully I’ve done everything right and Chuck’s engine build is good and the car will run well. We’ll see…

Jim - I’ll be there. Not the fastest guy around, but if you don’t get anybody faster let me know.

#3

Alex = Modesty snd Honesty. Jim, you gotta give him the ride based on that declaration.

#4

Dexter -

That’s not false modesty. Alex really ISN’T that fast.

BAM!

PS - I gotta get my shots in before he really is faster than me. By my calculations, that should happen around August.

#5

Actually the fall, when I will become the 2nd least mediocre driver from the SE in the nation.

With that recommendation, how could I do otherwise? Okay Alex, you have the ride.

Now if this was Road Atlanta I might have reservations. Alex tends to break cars at Road Atlanta. CMP, not so much.

Jim,

I just blew an engine at RRR so I am hoping I got all of the pent up bad luck out of my system.

Your car should be fine. I’ll try not to break it too much.

…it’s just money :S …

#8

Man, I need to have Dexter down as my job reference!!

Sounds good Jim. Let me know what all you need me to do.

#9

Hmmmmm

If this had been an E30 I could fix you right up (I have three spare engines). We told you that you should have kept the E30…

There’s not really anything that I can think of that you need to do between now and CMP. I have a spare helmet kit for the radio that we’ll want to attach to your helmet, but we can do that on Friday in about 15 minutes. The radio is optional if you don’t want to use it, but it does come in handy.

Sounds good. We’ll see you soon.

Wow, not one insult directed towards me, other than by my co-driver. I’m surprised.

#14

Apparently I did a good enough job!

Have patience, I’m sure there are insulting comments out there that will be posted soon.

Would love to throw my name into the hat, but I wont be arriving to Kershaw until Friday night. :frowning:
