This will be my first trip to CMP - anybody got a detailed map of the track area? The web site only has a blueprint of the track and an aerial shot. Just wondering about the paddock situation, where to park, etc.

I’ll be arriving Friday night; according to the confirmation mail, track is open from 5-10. Thanks!
come in the gate and down the road. off to the right is the paddock…it is divided up into big rectangles. Close to the track is a single wide trailer…that is control…the big car port thingy is the tech area. There is no assigned paddocking. VIR, it is not…
Do we want to try to all be in the same area?

This will be my 1st time to CMP as well. I plan to get in Friday at 5 so if we want to rope off an area, I’ll do what I can. Just let me know where

Keep in mind, I’m going to be caravanning in with PJ… so who know when we’ll get there? :S

Salazar should be rolling in early evening - we should definitely paddock together. DO IT!

As much as I hate it, I’ll miss the CMP weekend. Last weekend, we had a pediatric medical emergency. I left the hotel in Fredericksburg VA at 3:30 am Friday morning to drive 3 hrs. home and after three days in the ICU, everyone’s back home and ok now. Plus, I haven’t had time to swap the transmission after losing 4th gear at VIR in March and I’m not going to thrash on the car and risk not being prepared.

It looks like we’re going to have a good Spec E30 field - again - and I know it’ll be a great weekend.

Dave Derecola of 944 Cup will announce that the Autobahn Group will adopt the CCR procedures for cross-class incidents, to keep everything consistent. And I will contact an experienced driver to act as the substitute Spec E30 Race Director and liaison for the weekend.

Have fun and we’ll see everyone at Summit Point in June.
