CMP - in / out / smack

#61

How many SpecE30’s are we going to have at CMP?

#62

List from Julie on 6/29:

Robert Allen
Jim Robinson
Stephen Foushee
William Zawrotny
Scott Gress
Michael Skeen
Fred Switzer
Travis Wilson
Robert Patton
Laura Patton
Joe Tripp

I know some others have said they are coming, so the count should end a bit higher than this. I’ll be trading S.C. hot/sticky for South Fla hot/sticky that weekend, so y’all have a blast!

#63

Add all 3 BTR drivers to the list.

JP Coates
Brian Jones
Scott McMennamy
Robert Allen
Jim Robinson
Stephen Foushee
William Zawrotny
Scott Gress
Michael Skeen
Fred Switzer
Travis Wilson
Robert Patton
Laura Patton
Joe Tripp

Rev Al?

As of today, the old #5 is still lame, in multiple pieces in the garage. But…all the new bits are received and/or on order. I’ve learned more about engine innards in the last four weeks than I really ever wanted to know.
The clock is ticking and with a bit of luck it will be running by about 10 AM on July 11. If so, I’m in (sprints only) and hope to run the entire last lap, side-by-side with Scott, just like we did for the ‘Big Bang’ weekend in Feb. If Murphy pays another visit, I’ll see you at RA in August.

The Pink Panther will probably be there, although I will probably not be driving it (how’s that for a definite maybe!)

I’m just wondering, how many E30s are usually at the track? As in the track in general, not just CMP

#72

Racing Spec E30… we’ve averaged about 18 per race. The smallest group was at Barber (10?), I missed that on so I’m not sure what the counts was. Roebling was the largest with 28 or 29.

Then you’ve got all the GTS, HPDE and TT e30’s. I’d gues they make up for another 6 to 12 cars.

#73

Jon Stroup, get that car fixed and come join us. What was the problem…Headgasket or cylinder head?

Regards, Robert Patton

Participant list is out. Me, Joe Tripp and Travis all signed up for the wrong Enduro class. Oops.

First I had to make an ass out of myself be emailing Fandango Drew this morning and telling him, “hey, what are you and your M3 doing in my class”. He politely pointed out that I was the one that was in the wrong class. Oops.

#75

Ranger, now that is funny.

You are definitely a good sport, and certainly never shy about publicizing your miscues. Y’all have fun out there.

If anybody needs Factory 3 stuff delivered to the track, I can send it with Patton and avoid shipping charges.

Look on the bright side, you’ll probably be able to drive the entire race on pavement and not work a corner station since you got your monthly screw up out of the way

I tried to come up with a mildly amusing retort, but I couldn’t. I thought I was over that incident. But maybe not so much.

#78

I’ll be bringing the ‘Marines’ car down for some HPDE action. Feel free to come lust over my Rustoleum finish.

#79

Look forward to it.
