CMP 10-12Oct

The Tarheels are looking for more participation in this event, particularly on the 10Oct open track day. Sat-Sun is a standard DE sort of thing except that for a couple extra bucks you can also run in their “time trial”. It’s a good value for track time, particularly if you do Friday.

If Mr. Junky is healthy, I’ll be there.

#3

Scott,

Do you happen to know if they need instructors?

#4

I’d be there if I didn’t have to go to a wedding. Stacy puts on a great event.

Yes,

They are looking for instructors.

#6

Chi, I kept looking for you around RA last weekend to conduct bonding activities. Where the heck were you paddocked?

#7

sitting right next to the porta-potties next to the tech shed.

I was without Mr. Junky. He is still up near VIR.

#8

Awwwwww Ranger, Tom and I are at that event. Not doing the Friday deal but will be there for Sat and Sun. Save us some space!

I was thinking about doing a “busman’s holiday” and just signing up to drive. But if they need instructors I’ll help them out if Stacy will have me. Either way I intend to be there, work permitting.

Very nice. I’ll try to save a bunch of space so we can all paddock together. Who’s turn is it to bring the girls?

#11

Forget the girls. I want some food.

Someone bring a grill. There is nothing to eat around the track.

#12

Halls, you guys have cargo capacity, how 'bout you bring the grill? I’ll bring chow for 4. Chi “forget the girls” Row can pick up some girls in Kershaw.

#13

So where are we going to paddock? I’m rather partial to the area we used in July, but if someone likes another area I’m open to a change. I’m there for Friday and so is Scott, so we should be able to stake out a paddock big enough for four cars.

#14

Open track all day 10Oct $140. Skid pad will be open too. Hard to beat.

Someone forgot to bring the girls but still had a nice time with a cook out on Saturday night of brats and burgers.

Couple of car problems (so what else is new) but in the end everybody went home fine (I think - I left early). 4 SE30s and Mr. Junky present. Little rain on Saturday but clear and windy on Sunday.

Was damn fun. Hard to improve upon a 3 day weekend at the track with a bunch of SpecE30 buddies. A special thanks to the Halls for their hospitality.

It rained pretty darn hard Friday night. My little tarp lean-to didn’t cut it and I got soaked.

That was a great weekend. And I’ll second Scott’s thanks to the Hall’s for their hospitality. Having fresh coffee at the track in the morning is most appreciated.
