Do replacement flywheel bolts require additional thread sealant? I’m referring to the bolts that mount the flywheel to the crankshaft. The new ones come with a yellow gunk on them but I wasn’t sure if this was a thread locker or if it is a sealant or if anything additional was required.

I know I didn’t apply anything extra. I think the yellow gunk is a form of thread locker.

I don’t think I applied anything extra last time either, but I know it’s theoretically possible for oil seep through. Looks like I will install them as is.
