CMS is willing to have us back if we pay 4x the old rate for a rental weekend. This puts it in the same price range as Daytona. That is to say, rental costs are so shockingly high that there’s no way to make a buck. Jim is asking us if we’d rather do CMS than Daytona. Altho a number of folks are asking for both, Jim might be hesitant to schedule 2 money losers.

The way this could go badly is if folks vote to put CMS on calendar w/o really coming to terms with how expensive it’s going to be. Then, next year, participant turn-out is low because the cost is high and CMS doesn’t have the cachet of Daytona. Then Jim goes $30k in the red, and Brandan has to drop out of engineering school and start washing dishes.
